Why the membership of Export Council of Nepal?

Dear Exporters,

Directly and indirectly export business is contributing a lot for social and economic balance, and poverty alleviation of the country since the business starts. So, the Export Council of Nepal is established for the preservation and promotion of export and to promote, safeguard, facilitate and to solve day to day problems of the exporters. The council has been continuously doing hard effort for the promotion of export and to fulfill its objectives since the date of its establishment. As a result, council has been able to bag some achievements.

For the promotion of export business and to uplift exporters, the council has also been dealing with Nepalese export related problems in partnership with HMG bodies and organizing a variety of promotional programmes such as trade fairs/exhibitions, trainings, workshops and seminars on export related matters.

Export business is also earning foreign currency, providing employment, increasing national productivity, introducing Nepal and Nepalese products in overseas, decreasing trade deficit and etc. So, the government should give priority to the export in the process of making act and policy. In today's condition government should give incentives and facilities to the exporters.

Since a few years export is decreasing, so we all must unite and come under one roof to solve the export related problems and to promote it. As more and more Export Trading Houses unite being members of the council and exchange their views and ideas freely, so more and more benefits can be achieved either by cooperation or by collaboration.

Benefits of being council member:

Information Exchange: Being a recognized export related association, council receives the information of a variety of the programmes such as workshop, seminars, interaction programmes, fair/exhibition etc. And sometime the council organizes these types of programmes itself. Council circulates the information of it to its members and encourages them to participate.

Use of Logo: Members can use logo of the council in their letter head. As the council has been dealing and has link with HMG bodies; ministries, departments and other institutions, we hope the logo helps to increase the members' reliability.

Membership Id. Card and Certificate: The council provides Identity Card and Certificate to its members. These help them to deal business with customers and to obtain more reliability with them.

Free Listing: Council has regularly publishing its members' directory and has own website. The details of the members will be kept without any charge in directory and website.

Solve the Export Related Problems: Many exporters are suffering from the business problems. If the members inform their problems at council, council tries to solve it as soon as possible.

Entrance Permission Id. Card: The council issues entrance permission identity card to the members for the entrance in export zone.

Opportunity to Know Exporters and Free Competition: The top exporters and that kind of exporters who do consolidate shipment are affiliated with the council. During the general meeting and other meetings and programmes, the members get opportunity to know one another and exchange business ideas. It helps for fair competition among them.

Badge and Token: Council gives a badge to each member and awards with token and appreciation letter to the top exporters during its Annual General Meeting.
